FROM THE IMPERIAL (1913) TO THE HOTEL PAVILLON IMPÉRIAL (1950)
In the 19th century, vineyards and lemon trees were spread on the hillside from the Avenue de la Madone. It’s on this avenue that was built in 1911 the Hotel IMPERIAL whose opening took place on December 1913. This luxury hotel had then 300 bedrooms, half of which with bathroom, it was intended for the new cosmopolitan and luxurious clientele.
The Hotel Impérial was requisitioned as a hospital in 1915, and at the end of the war it was taken over by the RITZ-CARLTON Group. It was in 1928 that the pavilion was built and converted into a garage on the ground floor and housing for the family of the chief gardener on the 1st floor.
In 1947, after only thirty years of operation, the Hotel Impérial was transformed into apartments. After the closure of the hotel, the pavilion was enlarged and became in 1950, the Hotel PAVILLON IMPERIAL currently classified 2 ** and equipped with 17 bedrooms, all with bathroom and in its 68th year of operation
In October 2017 the Pavillon Impérial hotel changed direction and enjoyed a large wave of renovation.
